H10 does not connect

Wet the electrodes, put on the strap and attach the sensor to it. In TRACE, click “Connect H10” and check the ID on the case.

Check Bluetooth and TRACE resolution in iPhone settings. Disconnect H10 from other apps and watches, bring your iPhone closer and search again.

The CR2025 battery may be depleted. If Polar Flow cannot find the sensor either, check the battery or replace it following Polar’s instructions.

What kind of battery does H10 need?

Polar H10 uses a replaceable CR2025 battery. A low charge may cause the sensor to not be detected or to lose communication.

When replacing, check the O-ring: it must be clean, intact and correctly installed. Close the lid tightly, then connect the sensor to TRACE again.

After use, unfasten the sensor from both strap anchors and store them dry separately - this helps to avoid unnecessary battery consumption.

Can H10 be connected to the watch and TRACE?

H10 supports two Bluetooth connections when this setting is enabled in Polar Flow or Beat. Availability of ECG connectivity and streaming depends on which applications use the sensor.

If TRACE does not receive an ECG, temporarily disconnect H10 from other applications and watches to check, then connect again.

Heart rate works, but ECG does not

Pulse and ECG are transmitted through different channels. Wait for the line on the graph; The connection status itself does not mean that the ECG is being received.

Check the strap contact, close other sensor applications and connect again. Check the firmware update in Polar Flow; After the update, return to TRACE.

What sensors are supported?

In this version, TRACE works with Polar H10 and a chest strap. You don't need a Polar account to record. Polar Flow is used separately for firmware and sensor settings.

Other heart rate monitors and Apple Watch are not supported in the current version.

Why can’t I start recording?

Before starting, TRACE waits for approximately two seconds of a continuous signal and checks for contact, gaps and significant interference. While the test is in progress or there is a problem, the start of recording may not be available.

Look at the message above the chart. Sit quietly, wet the electrodes and adjust the strap. If a storage error is indicated, check the free space on your iPhone.

Why does the line twitch or make a lot of noise?

The line can be affected by movement, muscle tension, dry electrodes and a worn or dirty strap. Try recording the signal while sitting quietly, with wetted electrodes and a tight-fitting strap.

Care your strap according to Polar instructions. TRACE saves the received readings and does not replace uneven areas with a drawn line.

What do breaks in the graph mean?

At this point, the application was not receiving continuous data - for example, due to a loss of connection. TRACE leaves a gap and a technical mark; missing readings are not completed.

Bring your iPhone closer and reconnect. An already received fragment can be saved, even if the connection is not returned.

Can I lock the screen or close TRACE?

During active recording, data reception may continue with the screen locked. In silent viewing mode, the background thread is suspended.

Forcing the system to close or terminate the application interrupts the recording. The next time you start TRACE, it restores the available saved fragment; a new recording does not start on its own.

Where are my records stored?

On this iPhone, in TRACE storage. Internet, account and subscription are not needed to record; There is no automatic sending of ECG to the developer.

In the “Recordings” section, you can open a session, rename or delete it. The slider and arrows allow you to view fragments for five seconds; The scale can be changed in the graph range menu.

How to save PDF or CSV?

Open the recording and click the submit button: TRACE will create a PDF with the entire ECG and summary. Save it to “Files” or select another application in the system menu.

Through the “…” menu, the original ECG, pulse and RR in CSV are available in the recording. The files are generated on the iPhone; You choose the external application for sending.

What does PDF summary mean?

The summary describes the duration, the resulting pulse and RR, and the technical quality of the recording. Its calculations are performed on the iPhone, without built-in AI.

It does not determine disease or confirm heart health. The original ECG remains in the report and is available separately in CSV.

How are the tutorials different from my notes?

These are published clinical records of PTB-XL with explanations and original conclusions. They have 12 leads available; H10 transmits its own separate signal.

Examples are opened from the main page and from the settings. They work offline, are only available for viewing and do not appear in your history. The source and license are indicated within each example.

What happens after deleting the application?

Deleting TRACE deletes the local history. The recordings are not included in the TRACE cloud backup, so export important sessions in advance.

Deleting an recording within the application is not cancelled. Copies that you have already saved to “Files” or sent to another service remain in the selected location.
